Avast Antivirus is a giant scareware tactic

Avast just told me that I had 287 broken registry entries when in actuality everything is in working order and there are no performance issues on my pc. It’s becoming a scareware sales push, to try to get me to buy their premium membership or whatever. It also gets in the way of totally innocent things, telling me that they’re viruses.
